Esclaibes International Schools: a duo committed to a new way of teaching
Founders of Esclaibes International Schools, Marie Robert and Alexandre d'Esclaibes form a complementary and visionary duo. Together, they have imagined international schools that combine high educational standards, humanism and confidence in each child's potential, in the heart of preserved environments.

"Philosophy is not an abstract theory, it's a way of life that engages the whole of existence" - Le Voyage de Pénélope, Flammarion
Marie Robert, a philosopher committed to education
Philosopher, best-selling author, teacher and educational director, Marie Robert embodies adeeply human and accessible approach toeducation. Founder of several Montessori schools, she works for a living pedagogy that places thought at the service of action.
A doctor of philosophy, Marie Robert has made philosophy accessible to a wide audience through her books such as Kant tu ne sais plus quoi faire... il reste la philo and Le Voyage de Pénélope. In them, she explores how philosophical reflection can enlighten our daily lives and nourish our relationship with the world. Every morning, she shares her thoughts on her Instagram account @philosophyissexy, offering " fragments of gentleness, hope and transmission " to her readers.
Its commitment to education is reflected in theintegration ofphilosophical workshops in kindergarten in the Esclaibes network of schools. She is convinced that philosophy is not just for the elite.
Marie Robert is also sensitive to the challenges faced by some students, particularly those with difficulties with written language. She shares her own journey as a multidisabled person, stressing theimportance of boldness and perseverance: " Write, dare, find your poetry even in awkwardness, but do and from syllable to syllable, draw your story. "
At Esclaibes International Schools, Marie Robert instills a vision of education where caring, autonomy and critical thinking are at the heart of learning, preparing students to become enlightened and engaged citizens.
Alexandre d'Esclaibes, a Montessorian background for an innovative educational project
Raised in a Montessori environment from an early age, Alexandre d'Esclaibes embodies the continuity between pedagogical tradition and innovation. Son of Sylvie d'Esclaibes, a major figure in Montessori pedagogy in France, he attended a Montessori school from kindergarten through to the baccalauréat. This formative experience deeply rooted in him the conviction that children learn best when their natural rhythms are respected, their natural curiosity encouraged and they are happy to go to school.
After becoming a Montessori educator in his teens, he enriched his career with management training and experience in finance, before returning to his first vocation: education.
His ambition? To offer children a school that is demanding, caring and forward-looking. Passionate about science, he likes to pass on his knowledge with rigor and enthusiasm.
With this in mind, he and Marie Robert co-founded a number of schools in Marseille, Clichy and then Paris, grouping them together to form the Esclaibes International Schools network.
As director of the network, he ensures the harmonious development of each school and fidelity to the founding values of the project: autonomy, commitment, open-mindedness and confidence in the potential of each student.
Co-founder with Sylvie d'Esclaibes of theApprendre Montessori training organization, he oversees the training of teaching teams. The quality of a school depends above all on the people who teach there. Initial and ongoing training are the keys to a quality school, so that our teams are best placed to meet the needs of each child.

"I want our schools to be places of curiosity and to constantly respond to children's thirst for learning.
I want them to be places that are open to the world and where all the cultural material is very prominent, where there is multilingualism and a variety of nationalities."
PEDAGOGICAL PROJECT
A shared vision:
éveiller, guider, faire confiance

The Marseille school, one of EIS's founding projects
The first joint project of Marie Robert and Alexandre d'Esclaibes was born in Marseille: a school resolutely focused on children, built around an open pedagogy, with a Montessori approach enriched by their personal convictions and sense of community. The education offered is lively, active and deeply respectful of each individual's rhythm. Numerous projects nurture the children's natural curiosity: philosophy workshops from the age of 4, cultural outings, sensory discoveries, collaborative work... Today, this school has a junior high school section.

A lively, humanist and active teaching approach
Since then, their network of international schools has grown. With each new opening, their objective remains the same: to offer a lively, demanding and caring education.
A school where you learn with confidence, at your own pace, with respect for others.
A school where thinking, autonomy, curiosity and creativity are cultivated like treasures.

A committed and dynamic team
Around them, they have succeeded in federating a loyal, committed team, full of initiatives and ideas. Headteachers, educators, assistants, trainers: all share the same ambition, that of building a school that is humane and daring, in tune with the world's evolutions.
This team is a driving force in the development of tailor-made pedagogical tools: progressive work plans, themed workshops, autonomy paths... It is also involved in more global reflections: how to integrate digital technology in a reasoned way? How to develop creativity?

Ongoing training through a partner organization
This dynamic is reinforced by our training organization Apprendre Montessorico-founded with Sylvie d'Esclaibes. Thanks to this partnership, Alexandre and Marie train their teams on an ongoing basis, ensuring a high level of pedagogical quality and educational consistency in all their schools. This training organization is a real strength, as it constitutes our recruitment pool.
Bilingualism,a lever foropening up to the world
Another essential pillar of their vision is bilingualism. All schools in the network offer a bilingual environment.
This linguistic immersion meets a dual need: to prepare children for life in an international society, and to welcome expatriate families, particularly numerous in the schools in central Paris (15ᵉ, 16ᵉ, 8ᵉ).

A network tailored to every family, in every region
In Marseille or Clichy, the public is more local, more rooted in the town. There, the schools also become places of intergenerational ties, where grandparents come to pick up their grandchildren, where family culture is fully integrated into school life.
Everywhere, this ability to understand the specific needs of families, to adapt projects without ever betraying the fundamental values of the network, testifies to an educational vision that is both solid and flexible. It's a vision driven by the two founders of Esclaibes International Schools, who have passed on their passion to an entire team. A team that, like them, believes in the power of education to transform the world.
