How do you get your child to love school?

Make your children love school with our educational approach
How to make children love school? How to prevent school phobia? Today, more and more parents are looking for alternatives to traditional schooling to offer their children a more personalized educational experience that's closer to their needs. Among these educational alternatives, the Montessori methodstands out for its child-centered approach and respect for individual rhythms.
At Esclaibes International Schools, we embody these principles. We offer a learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn and grow at their own pace. Indeed, small class sizes enable us to get to know each child so that we can unlock their potential, and above all, ensure that they are happy to go to school every morning. We don't want the end of the school day, Friday or the last day before vacation, to feel like a liberation. In our opinion, there are several keys to a child being happy to go to school every morning.
1. Understand and follow your child's rhythm
Montessori pedagogy is based on the belief that each child is unique and develops at his or her own pace. In our international schools, this philosophy is at the heart of every aspect of teaching. In fact, we've dedicated an article to how we implement Montessori pedagogy at Esclaibes International Schools.
Teachers carefully observe children to understand their interests, strengths and challenges. By understanding each child's natural rhythm, the school can adapt its pedagogical approach to meet individual needs. In this way, theteaching team creates a learning environment where children feel understood and supported.

2. Encouraging autonomy and responsibility
One of the fundamental principles of the Montessori method is to encourage autonomy in children.
At Esclaibes International Schools, children are encouraged to :
- make decisions ;
- take responsibility for their actions from an early age.
Through hands-on activities and self-correcting exercises, children learn to be independent. They develop a sense of responsibility towards themselves and their community.

3. Encourage curiosity and exploration to give meaning to learning
Learning at Esclaibes International Schools is first and foremost an adventure of discovery and exploration.
Rather than following a rigid curriculum, children are encouraged tofollow their curiosity and explore different subjects at their own pace. Of course, this doesn't mean we can't follow the French national curriculum! But the personalized follow-up of students and the organization of multi-age classes mean that learning can be adapted to children's Montessori sensitivities and appetites.
Classrooms are designed to stimulate creativity and initiative. They offer children a safe and motivating learning environment. Children enjoy a safe and stimulating environment, with new and challenging activities to explore and experiment with every day.
Getting children to love school means enabling them to express the intrinsic motivation we all have to learn new things. Our aim is to help children understand that they are working for themselves, to enrich themselves, to understand the world, and not just to please themselves and get a good grade.
Our educational method enables our students to make sense of their learning.

4. Create a supportive, caring environment to make people love school
Teachers at Esclaibes International Schools play an essential role as guides and facilitators of learning. They are trained to provide individualized support to each child, encouraging them to take on challenges and reach their full potential.
Children feel valued and respected in this caring environment. This attitude on the part of the adults in charge fosters a feeling of self-confidence and a positive commitment to learning. Please see our article oncaring education, its principles and benefits, to understand how we create supportive learning environments. All our teachers are trained in non-violent communication with the aim of creating a classroom atmosphere conducive to their full development.
Esclaibes International Schools offer children more than just an education: they invite them to live a daily experience where they are encouraged to become the best versions of themselves.
Our raison d'être: to enable children to come to school every day in a cheerful, happy atmosphere. We know that a child who feels good at school is a child who will optimize his or her learning capacity.
How can we get children to love school? How can we prevent the risk of school phobia as much as possible? By respecting each child's rhythm, encouraging autonomy, curiosity and a sense of learning, and providing individualized support in a harmonious human environment.
By applying these principles and values, our schools create a learning environment where children feel fulfilled, confident and loved.
If you're looking for an educational approach that emphasizes well-being, through active pedagogy and the holistic development of your child, Esclaibes International Schools is the ideal option for you and your family. Our aim: to make children happy to come to school every morning.
