Montessori and excellence at Esclaibes International Schools

Combining Montessori pedagogy, bilingualism and a quest for academic excellence, Esclaibes International Schools stands out for its unique educational approach in Paris and Marseille. From nursery to elementary and now middle school, our schools offer a stimulating and caring environment, designed to enable each child to reach his or her full potential, developing autonomy, curiosity and self-confidence. The Montessori pedagogy at Esclaibes International Schools forms the common basis of the educational approach adopted for our bilingual schools. It evolves into an active pedagogy in elementary and middle school.

We have been practicing Montessori pedagogy for many years. Our co-founder, Alexandre d'Esclaibes, himself a Montessorian child, and Sylvie d'Esclaibes, created one of the most renowned Montessori training centers in France: Apprendre Montessori. This recognized expertise makes our schools a benchmark in Montessori education, an approach we put at the service of excellence and the well-being of our students.

Montessori education for excellence

At Esclaibes International Schools, Montessori pedagogy is the foundation of our educational approach. This child-centered method is based on solid principles, which we maintain in our elementary and middle school classes:

  • respect for individual rhythm ;
  • autonomy ;
  • experiential learning.

We also wanted to develop international schools. Our vision is of a network ofrenowned international private schools combining the innovation of Montessori and active teaching methods, high academic standards and the well-being of children.

Esclaibes International Schools thus embodies the excellence of Montessori education in the French capital and the Phocéenne capital. Each school is ideally located in the 15ᵉ and 16ᵉ arrondissements of Paris, in Clichy as well as in Marseille. In each, we aim to provide a stimulating and caring learning environment for children.

Alexandre d'Esclaibes and Marie Robert trained in philosophy and education before setting up the Esclaibes Schools international schools and surrounding themselves with an experienced teaching team trained in Montessori pedagogy. And they are first and foremost teachers. They each taught for over 10 years before co-founding this network ofinternational schools in Paris and Marseille.

Montessori at Esclaibes International Schools: striving for excellence

Why choose Esclaibes International Schools?

1. Proven Montessori pedagogy

The Montessori educational approach is based on sound principles designed to foster the holistic development of each child. At the heart of the Montessori method is respect:

  • the individuality of each child so that each can express his or her full potential;
  • their learning pace;
  • their unique interests.

This pedagogy is best adapted to each child, because it's up to the educator to adapt to the child and not the other way round.

Our international schools rigorously apply Montessori principles. They offer an individualized setting and personalized attention to each child, which contributes to his or her personal development. Specially designed teaching materials enable students to learn by experience, moving from the concrete to the abstract, while respecting their sensitive periods.

Every effort is also made to help students concentrate.

2. A bilingual Montessori environment

From an early age, children are immersed in a bilingual environment. They acquire a natural command of English and French. This linguistic immersion prepares them for life in a globalized world. It opens up international perspectives. One of the special features of our schools is that they combine French-English teaching with Montessori pedagogy.

Esclaibes International Schools combines Montessori principles with ambitious goals. Our aim is to ensure that our students are optimally prepared for the future. From nursery to elementary school, children enrolled in our schools develop essential skills such as :

  • critical thinking;
  • collaboration ;
  • adaptability.

4. Qualified and passionate educators

All our educators are trained at our Apprendre Montessori training center. They are trained to the highest standards of the Montessori method, both in terms of theory and practice. This enables us to guarantee a consistent, aligned and high-quality pedagogical approach.

With Bac+5-level qualifications and significant experience, they accompany each child with kindness, respect and expertise. Their commitment to children's well-being and development is at the heart of their educational practice and active pedagogy.

They guide each child with empathy and respect. They foster a positive and enriching learning environment.

We are proud to offer a team of professionals with whom we have worked for many years, thanks to very low staff turnover . As a result, our teachers are able to follow their children over the long term.

5. Modern, inspiring infrastructures

Our schools are equipped with spacious, bright classrooms and custom-made furniture made from sustainable materials. Every space is designed to support children's autonomy, creativity, natural curiosity and personal development. As a result, children can enjoy a real Montessori Nido in each of our crèches. And they'll find a Montessori environment for 3-6 year olds, organized around the 5 main learning areas in each of our bilingual Montessori kindergartens in Paris, Clichy and Marseille.

We also have :

  • private playgrounds ;
  • multi-purpose halls ;
  • regularly updated teaching materials;

to provide the best possible environment for children.

A partnership with families

At Esclaibes International Schools, we believe in close collaboration between parents, educators and children.

Our digital tools enable families to track their child's progress, with photos and descriptions shared on a weekly basis.

Regular educational events and themed cafés strengthen this bond, creating a community committed to education.

Three educational cafés are held during the year to explain our approach. And each child has his or her own logbook to record his or her work, the major events of the year, the themes studied...

Preparing tomorrow's world citizens

Our mission is to create confident, autonomous and responsible individuals, ready to meet the challenges of a constantly changing world.

Thanks to an education focused on creativity, adaptability and problem-solving, our students acquire a solid foundation for success in their personal and professional lives.

"Tomorrow's world is an unknown. What we offer our students is the adaptability, intelligence and self-confidence to face the future with confidence."
